A bit about me...
Hello! I’m Julia!
I’m a communications professional with over 25 years experience in
publishing, PR, marketing, journalism, communications, social media and web content. I have
worked both in agencies and in-house and over the last couple of years have been enjoying
harnessing my knowledge, contacts and experience to offer a freelance service as
Equus Media Ltd.
I have a wide portfolio having worked on multiple brands across B2B and B2C sectors including launching new ice cream flavours for a well-known American ice cream brand and promoting showjumps in equestrian publications through to securing a spot for a vacuum cleaner on the front page of Good Housekeeping Magazine and working with a wellness and aesthetics business to promote their services!
I have also served several years in the publishing industry as Editor in Chief of several national motoring magazines.
I am passionate about digital communications and innovative ways to connect with customers and influencers by creating exciting online and physical brand experiences and targeted communications. I work with a number of businesses to help them promote their services and products through social media management and wider digital marketing programs including email marketing.
I am energetic, proactive with fantastic written skills and a passion for creating content and coming up with fresh, new ideas. I have excellent organisational abilities and offer a creative approach to developing strategies and campaigns designed to influence media, improve brand reputation and deliver measurable impact for my clients.

I can offer support for everything from a one day role such as event management through to ongoing projects and long-term contracts.
I operate remotely from my office near Stratford upon Avon, however, I am more than happy to travel to support an event, join your team working from your office temporarily, or attend meetings as your business or project requires. Whether it’s a fresh pair of eyes, or another brain on the job – I’m ready, willing and able!
In addition to freelancing for individual clients, I also provide an extra pair of hands for PR and Marketing agencies. Whether you are going through busy times, have a temporary gap in your team that needs filling, ideas for a new account pitch, or simply need something writing or managing, I work as an extension to your team making the transition seamless! I am happy to represent your business to your clients or work behind the scenes as you prefer. I am totally confidential and my aim is to be a valued team member and colleague.
